Our Verdict
I spent two weeks testing the ZHIYUN FIVERAY M40 to see if its tiny frame could actually handle professional lighting demands. Whether I was working in a dim studio or on location, this portable light panel consistently proved that high performance does not always require bulk.
Performance & Build Quality
The build quality of the M40 feels robust despite its lightweight 320g design. The integrated DynaVort cooling system is a standout feature, successfully managing heat during long shoots without compromising the structural integrity of the unit.
Day-to-Day Experience
Using the dual-wheel interface is incredibly intuitive, allowing for quick adjustments to brightness and color temperature on the fly. The PD fast charging support turned out to be a lifesaver, ensuring I was never stuck waiting too long between sessions.
This light is perfect for vloggers, mobile photographers, and content creators who need professional, adjustable lighting that fits comfortably in a camera bag.

With a stellar 4.91 rating, the ZHIYUN FIVERAY M40 stands out as one of the most practical lighting solutions I have tested this year. At $199.00, it provides a perfect balance of performance and convenience that is hard to beat.
